Flowers, flowers, flowers!

Well you'll be pleased to know I found my camera!! Yay, so here is the tutorial I promised about a billion years ago! Sorry! x

This was don't on false white nails that I had because I like wearing them! And I find the design lasts longer and it's so much easier to paint on them!

First find the nails that fit you best, or prepare your natural nails by applying a base coat

These are the polishes that I used, my base and top coat is Sally Hansen double duty, and the base colour is Maybelline Forever strong PRO, in- 75 'Ivory Rose'
The rest are just cheap and bright, the striper is my usual RIO one in black

Apply two coats of your pale base colour, or until it is opaque

Then with one of your bright colours or however many different colours you want on one nail, add small circles

I had a different colour per nail, but you can switch it up!

Then in the middle of your flower make a small black circle with your striper

The work outwards with petal shapes, and add and fill in the leaves

This flower is slightly different, add a semicircle at the bottom

Then work outwards in rows till it's full

Like this! Then add leaves

This was my full set

Now enjoy wearing your lovely flowery nails!

Try out!

So I had a look at a totallycoolnails video linked here. For peach roses. As I was going out in a red dress, I thought I would tweak it slightly!

My nails are fake in this! I brought plain white ones, painted them and the glued them on. this is because I had to do my nails the day before I went out, and that meant surviving work (in a craft cafe) and my dreadful habit of peeling off my nail varnish. I fond wearing fakes makes it virtually impossible to peel off the design!

Hope you like it!

Panda!

This is a simple and easy and fast design. Its cute and fun to wear! The panda manicure! I did this on my sisters nails that are really short so good news all you nail biters!

First do your base coat, because your whole nail isn't covered in this design it gives it a nice shine.
Then make semi circles at the bottom of your nails leaving room above for ears!

Now on each side of the head add two small black semi circles and fill them in. do this with the striper.

Now add a tiny pick dot at the bottom this is his nose!

With a dotting tool or make up brush make two black dots for the eyes
Once they are dry add white spots on top of those.
And then tiny black spots in those for pupils!

And now your done! Enjoy the pandas! coming next is a cute heart design!

Giraffe!

I have seen a few nail designs that use all the nails to make up one picture and thought I might give it a go. Behold the giraffe!

To create this simple design you will need a blue, yellow and orange. and white And then a black striper also a dotting tool would be good or do what I did and use the end of a make up brush!

First paint your nails two coats of blue
I used 17 fast finish in catwalk couture, which has a tint sparkle to it, I love it! also it dries in around 60 seconds!

Then with the yellow make bands of the same size and preferably width
across the middle of your fingers but not the thumb.
This will be the neck.

Then for the thumbpaint a thinner line then the neck but still in the same place,
curve it round to make the top of the head and make the front of the
face and join it back up to the neck and fill it in.

Now take a bit of scrap paper and put some orange varnish on it and use your dotting tool to make the 'splodges' on its neck and a few on the face.

Sorry that photo isnt great!

Now use the orange to fill in the 'snout' section of the face.

Now use your dotting tool in the white and out on two dots for eyes, then once dry put a black dot in the middle of those. and add little black dots on the nose for nostrils.

And now you are finished add your top coat and let it dry to protect your design! Next time it's pandas!!

Socks!

This is my take on cute-polish  most recent design. Its a popular sock and jumper pattern that you can now wear on your nails!

Firstly you need two pairs of complimentary colours  one base and one as a striper, and a base coat and a white striper. I went for pink and blue.

Firstly we need a coat of clear base coat. Then two coats of blue.

This is then followed by two coats of pink in the thumb and ring finger.

Now on the blue fingers make large X's like so.

Now do the same with your pink striper

Fill in the trinages created at the top and bottom of the nail with the striper, do this for both nails.

Now comes the tricky part, the white lines. starting in the centre of the bottom triangle paint up to the tp of the right hand side triangle.

Repeat this at the top of the nail, so that it looks like this across all nails.

Taaa Daaaa!!!!!! Now your all done, neaten the edges with a Q-Tip dipped in nail varnish remover.

Done!!

Monopoly Manicure

Monopoly! That childhood memory of so many of
us, now wear your memories on your nails! It can be useful to have a monopoly board around whilst painting this, just for reference!

These are the varnishes that I used for this design,

RIO stripers in: red, yellow, pink, blue and black. Rimmel London in Double Decker Red (030) Barry M nail paint in Mint Green (304) and Claire's cosmetics in blue (47)
Firstly paint all your nails two to three coats of green, this is the board.

Firstly the thumb. Based to the 'GO'  square. With your striper write 'GO' at a slight angle to the base of your nail.

Then underneath draw the arrow in a straight line.

Next finger is the Mayfair nail. With the blue nail varnish swipe across the top of your nail to create the coloured band at the top of the square.

Underneath with a fine brush or striper write Mayfair, this can be difficult so alternately you could just do dots and lines. On the other hand I used the red nail varnish to create the same effect for a different place name.

Third nail!  The chance square. Firstly with the pink or red striper ( I did different on different hands) create the question mark. You can leave it like this or write chance above it.

Next is the electric company, this is quite fiddly but can be simplified. Firstly with a yellow striper draw the top of the light bulb. With the black striper make a square at the bottom of the light bulb and lines coming of the bulb. It can be left like this or once the yellow is dry you can draw the lines inside like I have below.

And last but not least, free parking! With the red striper draw the shape of the car but leaving a little square for the back window (or paint it on with white later!) With black add wheels and the little spare wheel. Now because I have small nails I could't write but if you are painting on to falsies you might be able to add writing!

I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial! It was really fun to do! Enjoy wearing and playing Monopoly!
